In this episode, we will take a look at part 2 in our topic of shooting RAW images from your digital camera. I will show you some images in which shooting camera RAW will be an advantage. We’ll look at some images that have some challenging lighting conditions (in other words – a lighting range difficult for digital cameras to represent).
This obviously isn’t the only way of capturing images, but I want to give an overview of working with RAW format and why you should shoot with it when possible. Space doesn’t always allow (RAW files are much bigger than JPG files) and there is a time commitment to these conversions. If you’re shooting in mass, RAW isn’t the best option and understandably so. But for important images I believe this is the way to work.
