Photo Assignment #3 is the second in our cinematography-inspired series – shooting at eye level. This is probably the most natural position for photographers to work in, but the objective here is to take this up a level. How are you bringing the viewer into the scene. If we consider eye-level to be the human vantage point this how does the viewer interact with the scene being photographed? More importantly, if you have people as the subject – how do things like eye contact have an impact on the viewer? Is the viewer welcomed into the scene or are they intentionally made to feel uneasy? These are some of the questions we explore for this angle of view.
